Privacy Policy

PortaPicker provides a portable restroom planning calculator that rental companies (our customers) add to their websites. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who helps us run the service. We keep data collection to what the product needs.

Website visitors using a calculator

Visitors who use a PortaPicker calculator on a rental company’s website do not provide any personal information to PortaPicker. The calculator asks planning questions, such as event type, number of guests or crew size and duration, and shows a recommendation in the browser.

When a visitor continues to the rental company’s quote form, that form belongs to the rental company. Anything entered there is handled under that company’s own privacy policy, not ours.

Anonymous calculator analytics

To give customers basic engagement counts, the calculator records anonymous events containing only:

• a random session id created for each browser tab and kept in sessionStorage;
• the event name (for example, calculator started or quote button clicked);
• the flow type (event or construction) and the step reached;
• counts by result category (for example, how many standard or accessible units were recommended);
• the referring website’s domain only; and
• a timestamp.

Analytics do not store names, email addresses, phone numbers, full referring URLs, IP addresses, free-form text or device fingerprints. The calculator does not set cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use visitor data for advertising.

Customer account data

When a rental company signs up, we store the account email address and name, and the company settings entered in the dashboard: company name, logo, colors, inventory, planning rules, quote form link, phone number and allowed website domains. We use this to run the service, provide support and send service-related email such as sign-in links and billing notices.

Service providers

• Stripe processes subscription payments. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
• Supabase hosts our database, authentication and uploaded files such as logos.
• Resend delivers our transactional email.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention and your choices

We keep account data while your subscription or account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for billing, legal and support purposes. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account data by contacting us from your account email address.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify customers by email.
